Houses

To celebrate each child’s achievement in school, they are also a member of a house. As a school community, we collectively chose the names of local lakes in Milton Keynes.

These were selected and ratified by our school council as they celebrate our local area. We also link the houses to colours for an additional sense of belonging.

BEHAVIOUR CURRICULUM

Positive behaviour is recognised on Class Charts using green symbols. The following list contains examples of behaviours that could be recognised:

• Respect - Treating peers as equals. Respecting different beliefs and opinions. Looking after the school environment.
• Kindness - Playing well and sharing. Wishing pupils and staff a good day. Listening well to others. Allowing others to join a game.
• Honesty - Owning up if you’ve not told the truth or done something that breaks school rules. Telling the truth independently.
• Courtesy - Displaying good manners – please/thank you. Asking staff/pupils how they are. Exchanging polite conversations. Waiting for your turn. Being helpful to other pupils and staff.
• Self-belief - Confidence. Resilience. Improving your skills.

• Growth - Perseverance. Maturity.

• Good Progress - Working hard. Improvement in accuracy. Improvement in presentation. Editing and improving work.
• Good Work - High attainment
